The hook
Most engineers spend their first years fixing tickets in someone else's system. You'd be building the core of ours.
Right now, when a buyer asks ChatGPT "what's the best tool for X", a handful of brands get recommended. Everyone else is invisible. Most companies have no idea which side they're on.
That's the problem Get MOW solves.
Why Cloud Studios exists
Cloud Studios is a Berlin app studio building a portfolio of premium, productized digital products. Small team, high standards, zero patience for boring.
What we're building
Get MOW (getmow.ai) is our current flagship. It shows B2B software companies how AI engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode actually see their brand, and what to change so they get recommended.
The design is done. The logic is mapped. Now it needs to be engineered properly.
The role
Your main job: turn our product logic into a real, running system. The engine behind Get MOW runs prompts across multiple AI platforms, collects and structures what comes back, analyzes it, and turns it into insights a CMO can act on. We know exactly how it should work. We need someone who knows how to build it so it doesn't fall over the moment real customers are on it.
Here's the part most internships won't offer: this isn't a side feature. It's the heart of the product.
What you'll work on
- Architecting and building the backend system behind Get MOW's AI visibility analysis: orchestration across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI surfaces, data pipelines, scheduling, storage and processing.
- Designing AI workflows that are reliable, testable and cost-aware, not demos that break on the second run.
- Laying a secure, scalable foundation: auth, data handling, error handling, monitoring, clean infrastructure.
- Using AI tools (Claude Code or similar) to move fast, while owning every line that ships.
- Implementing new UI features from our product designer's designs and improving the existing frontend codebase.
- Making real technical decisions and defending them.
What we're looking for
- Solid backend fundamentals: APIs, databases, async jobs, system design.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs or AI workflows (API integrations, structured outputs, multi-step pipelines, evals, anything real).
- Comfortable across our stack: Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase and Vercel, AI-native (Claude or similar).
- You care about security and code quality even when nobody's checking.
- You use AI to go faster, not to skip understanding.
- Strong English, written and spoken. German is a plus.

Who can apply
You must be currently enrolled at a university or in vocational training, and one of these must apply to you:
1. Mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum): your study or training regulations require you to complete an internship. You'll need to confirm this with your enrollment certificate and your program's internship requirement. 2. Voluntary internship alongside your studies: max three months, and only if you have never interned at Cloud Studios before.
If neither applies to you, we unfortunately can't consider your application.
What you'll get
- Ownership of a core production system in month one, not year three.
- Working directly with the founders on every product and technical decision.
- A portfolio piece that's genuinely yours: a live AI product used by real companies.
- A seat at the table as we build the company, with the chance to shape your own role.
- This is a tryout, not a dead end. If you deliver, the conversation towards the end of the internship is about bringing you on long-term and paid, with real ownership of the system you built.
Details
- Duration: Three to six months (mandatory internship) or up to three months (voluntary internship).
- Working hours: Full-time, 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Location: Berlin office, ideally at least two days a week. Remote possible.
- Start date: As soon as possible.
- Compensation: Currently unpaid. We will not be offering any payment for the course of this internship.
How to apply
Send us your portfolio, GitHub, or something you've built and are proud of, plus one sentence on the hardest technical problem you solved in it, and tell us which internship type applies to you (mandatory or voluntary).
Send your application directly to hello@cloudstudios.online or via LinkedIn.
