One of three roles forming the first dedicated content team inside Cloud Studios. Document Cloud Studios while it's being built and turn the journey into content worth following.
Why Cloud Studios exists
It started with a simple, personal idea: help people hold onto the memories and stories that matter before they're gone. That idea became listn, a voice-first companion for older adults to capture and share a lifetime of memories, currently in development.
Building it taught us something bigger. When you take a real problem, build a product people actually need, and treat it like it deserves to be built right, it can grow into a real business. So we kept going. Cloud Studios is a product studio built on that idea: turn sharp insights into products people need, then build the strongest ones, and the brands behind them, into independent companies.
What we're building
Cloud Studios is still early. Products are being developed, brands are taking shape, people are joining and decisions are being made quickly. Most companies wait until much later to tell that story. We want to document it while it's actually happening.
The main focus of this role will be the Cloud Studios Instagram account and content around the founder and founding team. The strongest material will also be repurposed for YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
The role
This is the video and creator seat inside our new three-person content team.
You'll help develop the formats, shoot the material and turn everyday company building into strong short-form content. That could include founder-led ideas, behind-the-scenes moments, product decisions, office content, team stories and larger recurring series.
You'll work directly with the founder and collaborate with the Content & Organic Growth Intern and the Social Media & Brand Design Intern. You should be comfortable bringing ideas, giving direction and turning imperfect raw material into something people want to keep watching.
What you'll work on
- Develop repeatable video formats for Cloud Studios and the founder or founding team.
- Shoot short-form content, behind-the-scenes footage, conversations and company moments in Berlin.
- Edit Reels, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn videos.
- Find strong hooks, structures and moments inside longer recordings.
- Add subtitles, sound design, music and basic motion where they improve the content.
- Repurpose footage intelligently across platforms rather than exporting the same edit everywhere.
- Work with the editorial intern to translate written ideas into video concepts.
- Work with the design intern on covers, titles, thumbnails and visual treatments.
- Organise footage and build a usable content library for the team.
- Publish consistently, study retention and engagement, and improve future formats.
- Experiment with new creative tools and AI-supported production workflows where useful.
What we're looking for
- You are enrolled at a university and the placement can be recognised as a mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum) within your degree.
- You can shoot usable, considered video with a phone or camera.
- You're comfortable editing in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or a comparable tool.
- You understand pacing, hooks, framing, subtitles and sound.
- You follow short-form content closely without blindly copying every trend.
- You're comfortable working closely with people on camera and giving clear creative direction.
- You can work quickly, organise footage properly and finish edits reliably.
- You bring ideas instead of waiting for every shot to be specified.
- Strong English is required. German is useful, but not required.
No years of professional video experience are required. We care more about your eye, your editing judgement and what you've already chosen to create.
What you'll get
- Direct access to the founder and the ability to document the company from inside it.
- Creative ownership over formats that could become a recognisable part of Cloud Studios.
- Real published video work for your portfolio, supported by performance data and the story behind it.
- Access to the products, decisions, people and moments from which strong company content is made.
- Freedom to pitch concepts, test formats and shape the creative direction.
- Close collaboration with editorial and design rather than working as an isolated editor.
- The software required for your work, paid for by Cloud Studios.
- Investment in additional cameras, audio, lighting or other content equipment where reasonably needed.
- A potential path into a paid working-student or junior role after the internship.
Longer-term roles will include fixed compensation and a performance-related component. Cloud Studios is also considering future VSOP participation for long-term team members. The structure and eligibility are still being developed, so VSOP participation is not part of the internship offer.
Details
- Duration: Three to six months, depending on your university requirements and availability.
- Start date: Flexible, ideally as soon as there's a strong mutual fit.
- Location: Berlin, hybrid, with regular time together in the office. Because this role involves filming, in-person availability matters.
- Working hours: Flexible between 20 and 40 hours per week. We prefer 30 to 40 hours, but will consider 20 hours for an exceptional candidate.
- Language: Strong written and spoken English. German is a plus.
- Structure: Mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum) recognised as part of your degree.
- Compensation: Unpaid during the mandatory internship.
- Equipment: You'll initially use your own laptop and phone. Cloud Studios will pay for the software you need and invest in additional content equipment where reasonably required.
How to apply
Skip the generic cover letter. We won't read it. Send us:
- A short, real introduction. Who you are, not only what you've done.
- A showreel, portfolio, or three to five videos that best represent your judgement.
- One creator or company whose video content you think is exceptional, and why.
- A short note explaining what you personally shot, edited or developed in the examples you send.
- Confirmation that your university can recognise the placement as a mandatory internship.
- Your preferred start date and weekly availability.
- Whether you'd also consider one of the other two positions in the Cloud Studios content team.
Send it straight to hello@cloudstudios.online or message Eli directly on LinkedIn. No portal, no three-week wait to hear back.
